Friends of the Rappahannock Social MultiMedia Campaign

Project Details

Over the Spring 2024 semester, we worked with local non-profit Friends of the Rappahannock to help promote their core message of restoration, education, and advocacy. Following our conversations with staff at the organization, we sought to produce infographics, picture posts, and videos aimed at educating those in and out of the Rappahannock community about the river and how they can help to restore it.

This page features the two main projects we delivered to Friends of the Rappahannock: a social media campaign featuring six original designs created in Adobe Photoshop, and two video projects featuring original interviews with FotR staff and B-roll shot on location in and around the river.

More Than a River

This powerful short film explores how the Rappahannock River connects the ecology and communities of the Rappahannock region. Learn through the perspective of Brent Huntsinger, the advocacy and coastal programs director of Friends of the Rappahannock. Huntsinger shares his lifelong persona connection and the urgency of getting more people to volunteer today.

A Day in the Life

Let advocacy and coastal programs director, Brent Huntsinger from the Friends of the Rappahannock, go over what a day can be like for those volunteering or working in FOR. Huntsinger describes how advocacy and education have a special meaning to both the employees/volunteers of FOR and the Fredericksburg Community. Huntsinger also goes over the benefits of volunteering with FOR with the multitude of activities you can engage in on a daily basis.

Call to Action

Our campaign shared the story and voices of those the Rappahannock affects.
